O Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

Hayley was so excited to play in the snow yesterday. When she saw the snow was gone today she held me personally responsible.

Lindley was excited to eat the snow.
Whenever there is snow on the ground my sliding glass door opens and closes 5 million times a day as they grab a handful to eat.

We went to pick out our Christmas tree for FHE last night.
We let Lindley pick out the tree.
It was so tall it scraped against the ceiling.
The girls waited patiently to put their ornaments on the tree.

Hayley was asleep so this morning at 4:30 A.M. she added her ornaments to the tree.

By far the biggest tree ever at our house.

Lindley Christmas Party

I put together a few MINUTE TO WIN IT Christmas games.
Cover Your Sneeze Please.

Search For Santa.

Winner - Allison & Kami

Suck Up To Santa

The only thing I purchased for the games was the tissue.  I had everything else on hand. Good Cheap Fun!

Gingerbread Houses

Last Friday Grandma Shelley took the girls overnight and all day so we could get some important Christmas stuff done. Not only did she have my four girls but she had five more kids too. They had fun making their gingerbread houses.

They didn't wait until I took pictures before they started eating .

But they still looked pretty cute.

Thanks Grandma for the break.

Christmas Choir Concert

Emily had her Christmas Choir Concert last night.
7th Grade Choir sang "Christmas Time Is Here" from Charlie Brown and
"St. Nick At Night" medley.
They did a great job.

Steve wore his Grinch shirt and was really grumpy after listening to an hour of Christmas music.

Pajama Party

Almost every year we go to a pajama party with friends from my childhood. This year we had some fun playing Minute to Win It Christmas games.

Gage represented the Owens crew in Cookie Face.

Hayley loved the sleeping mask she got at the fish pond.

Abby and Grandpa Doug did the Reindeer Nose Dive.

Steve and Kami did the Wreath Relay.

Lindley made this cute Reindeer and got some lip gloss for her $1 gift.
She was one happy little girl.

What we've been up to...

Emily has been working on her science fair project.

Hayley has been hiding in boxes.

Lindley gave herself another hair cut.
Much easier to fix this time.

I had fun putting together my Winter Post Office Lego set.

Steve and Scout went for a ride on Antelope Island.

Park City

I am so thankful for these ladies. I have such a good time each year when we go to Park City. Thanks Amy for driving I don't think anyone could have done a better job. I hope you are not to sore. Driving home was pretty scary.

The little things...

I am grateful for the little things that can make a day special.
The opportunity to cast my vote.

A little art.
It took me less than a minute to gather supplies for Hayley to make a turkey while Lindley was at preschool.
She was so proud of her turkey and wanted to hang in in the window as soon as she was finished coloring it.

I am thankful for quick trips to the park with cousins, a much needed break from the normal.

One last great day to spend some time at the Dinosaur park where I left my camera (and book) in the car and just enjoyed  playing with the girls.

Collecting acorn tops to make some more acorns for sorting in our sensory bin. Letting the girls be part of the creative process and put them together.

Taking a minute to work as a family to clean up the garden before it snows.

People who are willing to share their talents so other people can discover they too have that talent. Emily went to Young Womens tonight to decorate cupcakes. When she got there, their leader had made a cake for each Beehive and Mia Maid to decorate. Emily's cake looked awesome.

Tonight I got to go to a Nov/Dec birthday party for Relief Society. Just some dessert and visiting. It was fun to talk and share stories with the ladies in my ward. I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many good examples for me and my family.

Hayley's Big Game

Hayley has been waiting all season to come to a GO UTES game with us.
It was finally not a "dark" game.
She was so excited to cheer for her UTES but was ready to go home by halftime.

I did get her to watch a total of 6 plays.
She said they should just keep trying and trying, again and again til the can do it.
The girl should be a sports commentator.

It was a beautiful day for a football game.
Short sleeves in November.

Trick or Treat

Didn't plan something fun for the girls lunch but knew Emily would be disappointed if we didn't do something special. So I grabbed my handy dandy Sharpie and went to work.
Mission accomplished a fun Halloween lunch.
Emily said her friends were disappointed with their lunches after seeing hers.

Storytime at the Library was sooo much fun. I have never seen the kids sit so still before. After storytime the girls got to go Trick or Treating around the Library.

We went to help at Abby's class party. Abby couldn't wear her Lego head in the school parade so she dressed up as Hermione.

Trick or Treating at Grandpa Brent's. The kids loved seeing the dogs in their costumes.

Treat or Treating at Gramsies'. The kids look forward to the decorations and donuts.

Then to Grandma Rochelle's for some chili and breadsticks.
Grandma made this cute spider out of bread with honey butter to dip it in.

Broomsticks and Witch hats.

The Lone Ranger went out with the Princesses.

Look at all that candy.
Happy girls.

Abby went Trick or Treating with her best friend Nyah.

Emily handed out candy with her friend Sara . It sounds like they had fewer Trick or Treaters than we did at our house.
