Sledding.

My nephew Tanner turned 12 on Saturday and had a sledding party.
This is the girls after their first run.
Hayley loved it. Lindley said it was fun but didn't want to do it again.

Justin talked her into one more ride.

Emily and Kandyce.

Abby was a maniac. She never stopped hiking back up the hill. She didn't want to leave.

Steve and Justin piled into the ice fishing sled and took on the steepest hill.

Thank you Santa!

Santa must be pretty lenient because he stopped at our house. Lindley was so excited to get her DREAMLITE. It's the only thing she cared about Santa bringing.

Emily sent some babysitting money to Santa to insure she got her IPOD.

Abby's been wanting a camera for a long time.

Hayley and her Cinderella doll.

Santa brought me a Kitchenaide in my favorite color.

Steve got some new Cowboy Boots.

Christmas Eve

Steve didn't work on Christmas Eve so we decided to take the girls to see The Guardians. We got there a little early so Steve shared his tokens and they had some fun.

We gave Abby some cute Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer hair.

Pinata time.

All dressed in new Jammies to wait for Santa.

Christmas FHE

My Mom had us over for a FHE last night.  My sister borrowed some fun photo props, we had a talent show, family prayer, a Christmas story and some brownies and ice cream. I was really glad to see some of my sisters that I usually miss seeing on Christmas Day. It was fun to visit and play together without the rush to get to the next place.

No Hayley. She slept through the whole party.

Christmas Dresses

The girls looked beautiful in their Christmas Dresses.

I loved the Christmas Program today in Sacrament. I always love music at Christmas. Every number was beautiful. Hayley came in to opening exercises in Primary and Lindley gave a talk. Hayley can't wait to give a talk.

This and That...

For FHE on Monday we went shopping for a 6 year old boy. It was hard picking out a toy this year. If it was totally up to me I would have gone the Lego route. Steve actually enjoys this part of Christmas so I let him take the lead and then we take a vote.

We also made some bead elfs that have been on my must do list for the last couple of years. The girls had fun picking colors and putting faces on them. Emily was working on homework and couldn't find her elf but they all made them.

Abby's elf, Lindley's elf and Hayley's elf.

Last night I threw together a Polar Express night. I found the cute printable train online @ www.spoonful.com. Polar Express tickets and bell tags @ www.craftingchicks.com. Cotton Candy, Marshmallows, Marshmallow bits, Peppermint candy and Candy Cane Kisses for our Hot Chocolate bar.

Christmas Tree Pizza.

After dinner we sent the girls looking for their lost Polar Express tickets. We watched the movie up to the Hot Chocolate part and then paused it while we enjoyed some Hot Chocolate. Then we finished the movie and hopped in the Poulson Express to go drive through the Lights Before Christmas. When we came home we gave them a bell necklace.

Lindley had her Preschool Christmas Program today. I converted a pillowcase dress into a skirt for Lindley to wear.

A couple of Saturdays ago we went with the Poulsons to Temple Square.
It was freezing cold and snowing. The kids did pretty good.

Grandma Shelley, Cara, Steve, Hayley,
Tayler, Stockton, Tanner and Abby.

I love the beautiful Salt Lake Temple in the background.

I love the simple white Nativity.

I forgot to charge the battery in my camera so luckily my BIL Dustin took some pictures with his phone.

Emily, Me, Steve, Abby,
Lindley and Hayley.

Santa

Last Saturday our ward had a Christmas Breakfast. The kids can come in their jammies. We have a yummy breakfast and then a special visitor comes.
After waiting in a long line. Lindley hopped right up on Santa's lap and told him she wanted a DREAMLITE for Christmas.

Hayley was as close as she was going to get to Santa in this picture. She wouldn't look at him or talk to him. She got her candy cane and was outta there.

This is my favorite picture of the girls with Santa two years ago. My crazy little babies are getting big.

Christmas Pillowcases

A few years ago a friend gave Emily and Abby some Christmas pillowcases with a cute little poem. I've wanted to make some for my little girls but have never gotten around to it. Bennion Crafts had their Christmas fabric 50% off so I went in to see what they had left. I found the cutest fabric and got sewing right away. I went super simple. No cuff just a hem. The fabric is so cute it doesn't matter.

The girls were super excited about the pillowcases and started using them as soon as I was done sewing them.
