Gage's Baptism

Today my nephew was baptized.
It was such a blessing to see him take this big step towards his Heavenly Father.

Gage had his older brother baptize him.
It was wonderful to see a worthy young man honor the
power of the priesthood by preparing to perform this ordinance.

This family is one amazing bunch.
I love each one of them.
They are such good examples to me and my family.

When I asked my girls if they felt the Holy Ghost they told me yes.
Especially when Uncle Blair was talking.

Lindy Lou's New Do

I was trimming my bangs when Lindy Lou
came to tell the the movie wasn't working.
So I set down the scissors and went to fix the movie.
Not a very smart move.
I made it look so easy Lindy Lou decided to try her hand at it.
The results were not so satisfying,
if you couldn't tell by the look on her face.

Oh I was tempted to just put on the NO 4
and buzz her but it would be punishing myself.

The least the kid could do is try and hide the evidence right.

I told her to hold still or I would make her look like a boy.
She almost held still for 10 seconds.
I must actually be nicer than I appear.

I'm not sure this will be the last time I have to do this with Lindy Lou.
She doesn't seem so sad about her hair now does she.

Labor Day Weekend

My girls are always so sad that we don't stay longer
when we go up to Sourdough so I promised
we would stay Friday - Monday come Labor Day.
Packing and setting up is the hard part.
After that I am a happy camper.
The kids have so much fun using their imagination,
going on walks, building forts,
playing cards and going to the lake.

I love this little table that we have had forever.
It is a great place for the kids to play and especially eat.
There was generally 3 or four kids squished together eating.

Uncle Blair took Lindy Lou for a wheeler ride.

Big Trouble and Stinkerella

The Christensens brought their bikes and shared with my girls.
Thank You!
Emily now wants a mountain bike and says her bike is so small.

Here is the entrance to the fort.
They worked very hard to clear paths and make separate rooms.
It was awesome.
I really have some amazing kids and nieces and nephews.
They all got along really well.

Hayley, Ella Bean and Maylen were busy reading books to each other.

Uncle Blair loaded the kids up to go look for wild life.
They love riding in the back of the truck.
You can hear them about a mile away so I'm not sure
how they don't scare all the wildlife off the mountain
but they always see something.

Grandma Rochelle was busy making hats for the girls and
now has a long list of request if you can imagine.

Steve went with his Dad and Craig to put a roof
on the cabin in Schofield so we brought the van.
I am getting pretty good at packing it.

Game Day!

This cute lil cheerleader had to come to the first game of the season with us.
She was a hungry lil monster and finished this giant corn dog plus some of Tayler's hot dog.

Daddy purchased some pom poms for her and showed her how to use them.
I'm glad we brought her to the game so I remember why we stopped bringing our girls.
I miss too much of the game keeping an eye on them and trying to keep them from irritated other people.

Let's go fly a kite...

Flying a kite was on our summer to do list.
So when I saw this kite on clearance at Shopko I had to have it for my girls.
After school we ran to the park to fly the kite.
We were only there for a 1/2 hour but the girls really had fun.

Hayley's 2 year check up.

Hayley had her 2 year check up today with Dr. Rose.
Height - 32 in-8%
Weight- 23.6 lbs-8%
Head Cir. 48.5 cm-76%

We had her immunizations done at the Health Dept earlier this month so she was a little stressed out and wanted me to hold her. She was still pretty brave.

We went to the park after just for fun.
Hayley had to show me her new trick.
I love how she orders me to " Take a picture me Mama." all the time now.
Of course I need little encouragement.

Playing with her new birthday toys.
She can't decide which one she wants to play with the most so she has been carrying around two at a time
(sometimes three).

Hayley's Favorite Things

Watermelon, Ice Cream and Gogurts
Dollies, Blocks, Play Doh, and Pandas
Jammies
Go Utes Shirts and now Cheerleader outfit
Baby Songs (Baby Einstein DVDs) and Signing Time
Swinging
Going to Nursery

Funny Things Hayley Says

Take a picture me Mama
Mama don't leave me

Lindley hit me 2 times
Makes lots of sound effects
Repeats everything you say

Hayley's ABC Birthday

I was really grouchy at the beginning of Hayley's birthday party.
I spent too much time on Activity Days on Saturday and not enough time on her party.
I thought the apple cupcakes turn out really cute and were super simple.

Bushel of Apple stress balls for the adults.

Play dough for the kids.

I forgot about the cute ABC Bingo that I printed and laminated.
Didn't get time to make the cute banner I wanted.
My house was a disaster.
But the weather was really nice.
My family was fed.
Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Hayley loved all the presents she opened.

She loved both of the  pandas she got.

She started to get the pose with the present idea.

She loved blowing out the candles so much she did it twice.

RACECAR RENDEVOUX

Saturday was the Daddy Daughter Activity for Activity Days Girls.
Steve let the girls decide what kind of cars they wanted and then they went crazy designing them.
They sure had fun working together.
Abby decided she wanted a JEEP.

Emily wanted a Dodge Ram.
She even made a Ram out of play dough.
Emily called and asked Granpa Wayne to be her date.

The girls had fun keeping their dates cooled off.

After they finished the race the chaos began.

All the girls with their cars.

This was my last activity as a leader.
So glad I got to watch my girls have fun with their Dad and Granpa.

Hayley is 2!

I can't believe that my baby is 2!
When Daddy got home from work we let her open her presents and then headed to the splash pad.
I left the camera at home.
The girls had a fun time cooling off.

ABC blocks, music and book!

And probably Hayley's favorite new jammies.

First Day of School

Last night before we headed home from Grandma Shelley's we found a quiet place for Steve to give the girls a blessing before starting school this morning.  In Sunday School yesterday they ask how do you teach your children what the Holy Ghost feels like? Steve took the opportunity after the blessings on the ride home to ask the girls why they were crying after the blessing.  Abby answered "Because I felt happy". Emily said "Because I felt like crying".  Steve asked why did you feel happy Abby? "Because I think I was feeling the Holy Ghost." she said. I am so thankful for little opportunities to build up my girls testimonies. To help them remember that their Heavenly Father loves them and want to bless them and wants them to be happy. If we are doing good things the Holy Ghost can guide, warn and comfort us. Emily was having a little anxiety about starting 6th grade. Steve informed me that next year I will have a child in Jr. High. The girls were up and ready to go even after being up a little late. I made them pancakes shaped in the first letter of their name. Slipped  an extra treat or 2 into their lunch with a cute little note.  As always they were looking very cute and sassy. I told them they would be walking home from school everyday. I walked to pick them up from school today.  It was too stinking hot.

Sixth Grade Super Star

Fourth Grade Funny Girl

Lindley so wanted to go with them.  So I took the 2 little ones to the park to play with our Dinosaurs in the sand.

Countdown to Hayley's Birthday Party.
I'm taking it easy compared to Emily's Carnival.
I picked up this outfit about 9 months ago
thinking of going with You Are The Apple Of My Eye.
Changed my mind and doing an ABC party.
Just printing out a 4x6 as the invite.
Love the way it turned out.

We finally did some science fun.
We did a tornado tube. ( It was much cooler without the bubbles.)
We played with magnets.
And of course our all time favorite film canister rockets.

Today I decided that when the girls go back to school
I will do Preschool with Lindley and Hayley.
It will help me from going insane and be fun for the little ones.
Hopefully this will be a good experience for all.
They seem to like their folders already.

Sunday August 14, 2011

Today we celebrated Joey's birthday.
Here is the cute bag I made for her.
She is such a cutie.

It was so good to see my family.
Visit with my siblings and watch all the cousins play.
