Saturday July 16, 2011

Today was Lindy Lou's Toy Story 3 birthday party.
I realized as we were cleaning up I didn't get a picture of the table.
As the guest arrived they got to choose to be a COWBOY (plastic deputy star)
or a SPACE RANGER (glow in the dark bracelet).

The favorite game was THE CLAW.
I had the kids roll the dice and that determined how many
turns they got to use the claw to pick up some prizes.
There was Toy Story candy, silly bands and bubble gum in the bowl.
The got to put their winnings in a Toy Story 3 bag.

The TOSS THE SNAKE IN THE BOOT  was
a lot harder than I thought it would be.

I got the pattern for these cute little guys off the Toy Story page at www.disney.com.
Emily designed a rocket on a plastic bread container for our
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND ALIEN LAUNCH game.

We also had a ring toss using empty Gatorade bottles and glow bracelets.

The games were not organized but there for the
kids to play whenever or however they liked.
They ended up catching baby grasshoppers and
covering our entire driveway with sidewalk chalk.
They were happy and entertained and I got to visit a little bit.

Lindley was really cute when she was opening her presents.
She loved everything she was given.

She got a cute Jessie hat just like Tayler's.

Grandma Rochelle made her a her doll matching dresses.
Lindley put the dress on over her clothes
wore it to bed and then church the next day.

She loves horses and got some MY LITTLE PONIES.

Here is the little cake I made for her.
The 3 eyed Alien.

We barely finished singing before she blew out the candle.
She was one happy little girl.

Today we celebrated Tayler's birthday.
She made a cute lil Jessie.

Tanner put his hat on Kaylie and told me to take a picture.
He made Kaylie smile big for me.  So cute.

Auntie Leen wasn't gonna make it to Lindy Lou's
birthday party so she got to open her present.

Happy Birthday Lindy Lou!
I can't believe she is 3 already(or that she made it to 3).
I'm so glad to be done with the terrible twos. Ha ha.
Yep I am free from a two year old for like another 6 weeks.
We took Lindley to B&N for a free sweet treat.
She licked all the frosting off her cupcake on her way to the park.
We ate Panda Express at the park with Toy Story fruit snacks for dessert.
Then I let the monkeys out of the barrel.
When they were good and tired we took the long cut home.
Lindy Lou took a good nap and when she woke up Dad was home.

Yea!  Time for presents.
Lindley didn't disappoint.
She was very excited to open her present.

As you can see Emily and Abby were excited too.

Can I hear a YEEHAW!
My little cowgirl was in heaven with her new Jessie shirt and Levi skirt.

Lindley was excited to play with her new friends.

She was such a big girl to share with her sisters.

We loaded the kids up and went for an ice cream cone.
Now the girls are watching Toy Story 3 and playing along with the toys.
Good Family Fun!

I love my crazy, sassy, animal loving, smart, funny and beautiful brown -eyed fart in a skillet.

Today for Activity Days we went to the Temple grounds.
We learned about the temple and enjoyed the beauty and peace you can find by just looking at it.
I was reminded by the other leader how blessed I am to have my family forever.
I am so thankful for my testimony and the peace the gospel brings to my life.
I need to take the opportunity to attend the temple more often.

I Love To See The Temple

After Activity Days we rushed home to change.
We met with our cousins to go bowling.
It was nice to visit with my sisters.
The older kids helped the younger ones.

Emily, Kandyce, Kami,
Gage, Stockten and Tanner.

Hayley, Kami, Abby, Kandyce and Lindley

Hayley had the highest score.

While I was at the store Lindley got an owie on her eye.
It's okay she put a band aid on it herself.

Tuesday July 12, 2001

Today was the first day for ARTS IN THE PARK.
After I dropped off Emily and Abby it started to rain.
Hayley and Lindley had fun dancing and singing in the rain.

Then we went to school lunch and swimming with the Forsbergs.
It was good to play and visit with friends.
Swimming is something all the kids like and can do together.
No fighting all day.  Heaven.

Abby and Josie

Emily and Kodie

Hayley fell asleep floating on her back

Lindley and Andie had too much fun

Today is always a hard day.
It's been 5 years since Colton touched our lives.
I still miss him everyday.
Time does make it easier.
But there are moments when the pain is still fresh.
I am so blessed to be Colton's mom.

Happy Birthday Little Buddy!

So thankful for Family and Friends who take time to remember
and celebrate "The Little While".

Woke up to rain. GRRRRR!
Not what you want when you need to pack up.
Overall a great trip despite the bad weather.
So glad to be home with solid walls to help keep us dry and cool (or warm)
.

Loved seeing my daisies in bloom.

Saturday July 9, 2011

Today we woke up to blue sky.
Steve must have brought the sunshine with him.
Bring on the tubing.
3 out of six kids were crying at the end of their turn.
Can you guess which 3?
