Monday June 6, 2011

Today the girls did their chores and we headed to the Library.
6 movies, 7 books and 1 major meltdown from Lindley and
we headed to the park.  I love this little park.
It is mostly shaded and we are usually the only ones here.
Then we checked out Free School Lunch.
The menu this year looks like a winner.

Sunday June 5th

It was one of those Sundays.
Lindley was on one.
She was throwing a major tantrum after
running in and out of sacrament meeting.
I caught her and made her sit on
a chair or I held her.
It was very amusing for every other
parent walking by and thanking their
lucky stars that she didn't belong to them.
One lovely sister in my ward smiled and
told me they never grow out of it
and then had to go and ask if I was ok.
Of course you know what happens then...
Steve came out when sacrament was over and in
30 seconds had her calmed down and ready for nursery.
I am so thankful for the nursery teachers.
I had a break from the babies and by the time
it was time to pick me up Lindley was happy
to see me again.
At 9:20 P.M. my peaceful Sunday began...
Hayley fell asleep on the floor and
Lindley snuggled her Dad and fell asleep.

Memorial Day

We headed to Farmington Pond. We will definitely be going back.
Emily, Abby, Tanner and Peyton had a great time fishing with Grandpa.
Lindley, Tayler, Stockton and Hayley had fun
running, climbing, feeding the geese and riding in the wagon.

Tanner and Peyton are ready to fish.

Eating lunch

Grandpa teaching Emily and Abby how to cast.

Taking a stroll with Grandma.

Emily was really excited about her pink poncho.

Abby was sooo excited to fish.

Emily copying Lindley

It was a really nice day.  It sprinkled  for just a minute.
The kids had so much fun being outside all day.
I didn't get pictures of Kaylie she was all  bundled up.
Steve was working on the floor again.

Tracy Aviary

We needed somewhere to go on Saturday so Steve could work on the floor.
So we decided to check out Tracy Aviary.

Lindley loved the peacocks.

My cute girls.

Bald Eagle

Lindley liked to be in charge of the map.

Hayley liked riding in the wagon.

Storm the U of U mascot.

The Owl Forest was probably the funnest part of the aviary.

Why can't the monkeys all look at me?

Flamingos

It was a nice day.  The girls enjoyed themselves.

Harry Potter Legos

It took about a week to build the castle.
Any free time from school, softball, homework and chores was spent building Legos.

One morning the girls rushed to get ready 1/2 hour early so we put together the Harry Potter Quidditch set.

I had to use all my will power not to finish putting Hogwarts together while she was asleep.

Love all the mini figures

So many fun little details.

Abby is one happy little girl!

Softball

Both girls decided to play softball this year.
Emily is playing on the Bandits this year.

Emily's team is doing well.
Her coaches have really good practices and you can tell.
Emily is very patient and watches the ball.

Abby is on the RipTides

Abby used to like to play catcher but doesn't like the pitching machine.
She has had some good hits this year.
Last game she caught a fly ball a was so surprised she couldn't think what to do next.

Both girls are #7.
I love watching my girls play.
The babies sometimes make it difficult.

Summer To Do List

I decided to make a list of things I wanted to do this summer with my family.
Most of the things on my list are free or unexpensive a few not so much.
I don't know if we will do everything on the list but it sure will be fun to try.

What's on your Summer To Do List?
