4th of July Fun!

Today was the BEST DAY EVER at Rockport.
The weather couldn't have been better.
The kids had some sand to play in.

I got a little sunscreen on my lens.

Steve got in a good ski run.

With two boats on the lake I only get pictures of half of the crew.

These kiddos took a log out for a float.

Auntie Leen brought her wave runner .

Then we had some fun on the tube.
By then my camera was out of battery.
GRRRR!
The kids loved this.
Especially Steve who took a wild ride with Tanner that ended with the
tube turning over and looking for the flag in a panic.

Horses and Hiking

Hayley started telling people she was having a Horse Birthday party.
That is not what we I decided back in January.
I have been gathering darling Ice Cream Cone stuff.
Oh well, she must mean it because she has never sat on Scout and looked that happy before.

Here is Abby's latest LEGO creation.

Now to the hiking. Tuesday morning I woke up and decided we were going on a hike. I decided to try out the Birdsong Trail because it was suppose to be easy. We ate breakfast, got dressed fill a few packs with water and snacks and away we went.

Hayley and Lindley wanted to wear their own "pac packs".

Lindley is the best little hiker. She found this feather on the trail. Just one of the many treasures we saw and heard.

The girls liked the way this tree made an arch over the trail.

A cute little waterfall. Hayley's collection of sticks.

Once we got rid of the sticks Hayley actually did a pretty good job hiking. She hiked the whole thing by herself even though she told me she was so tired and wanted to go to sleep a few times. I'm glad we took a moment to enjoy some nature.

Father's Day Weekend

Friday night we spent some time with Grandpa Brent.
We had a good time sitting around and talking while Lindley stalked Buddy the cat.

Saturday the girls had some fun painting with Corn Syrup.
It is a project we will definitely do again.

The girls and I went to have dinner with Grandpa Doug and play with the cousins for a minute before we rushed to see Grandpa Wayne. The kids (young and old) had a good time playing softball.

Sunday morning we showered Steve with gifts.
Went to church.
Let Dad take a much deserved nap before he cooked his Father's Day dinner on the grill.

Summer Fun has Begun...

Summer is here and we are off to a fun start.
Monday we went to Lagoon. E and A went on the big rides and would check in every hour or two. L, H and I spent the day in Kiddie Land. They loved most of the rides. L and H did not like the Dinosaur Drop and H did not like Puff. We took L on Bombora and she did not like that one either. It is going to be a fun summer for the girls and I hanging out at Lagoon.

Tuesday we took the kids to the Splash Pad. Despite the crummy weather it was pretty busy. They played in the water for a little bit then headed over to the playground.

Abby  stayed and played in the water til the bitter end. Every once in a while I see a little of me in my girls.

Wednesday we went to the dollar movie.

Tomorrow it is just me and the Littles. E and A are going camping with the Poulsons.

Last Day of School 2012

Emily's last day of Elementary school. I love how she started and ended 6th grade in the same top. It has been one of her favorites all year long. Emily has loved having Mrs. Minear this year. She has taught Emily a lot about having confidence in her abilities. I love hearing all the good things she does at school. She is going to do great at Jr. High. Emily is smart, pretty and friendly.

I'm "soda"lighted you were my teacher.

Abby's last day in 4th grade. Abby is still the sweetest. She has had fun in Ms. Jones class this year. She has been working on projects and completing them on her own. I'm proud of how she has tried to be more responsible this year. She was chosen for the Outstanding Citizenship Award by her teacher for being happy, helpful and kind to others. Her teacher cannot say enough good things about her.

Abby's Hair Bow .

THANKS for making 4th grade so SWEET! Here are some HUGS for the SUMMER!

I bought the girls some disposable cameras to use today and on their upcoming camping trip with Grandma Shelley and Grandpa Wayne. I can't wait to see how they document their story.

Sunday night we had a get together with the Lindleys. We were telling Lindy Lou that Grandpa Brent's name was Brent Lindley and it was Karlene Lindley and Heather, Allison, Sara Lindley. My name used to be Kristy Lindley and Aunties was Amy Lindley and she just giggled and acted like we were crazy. It was a fun and relaxing night with good food and family.

We spent Memorial Day playing at the park.

Emily, Hayley, Stockton, Lindley and Abby.

Stockton and Hayley climbing the rock.

Followed by some softball.

Grandpa caught a ladybug.

Feeding the ducks.

And some Fishing.

Abby caught something right away.

Then we went to celebrate Grandpa Doug's 64th birthday.
He was very excited to get a season ticket to the Ogden Raptors.
It was fun to see almost all of my siblings this weekend.

I don't need a special day to remember my Little Buddy. I think of him and miss him everyday.

Abby in her new skirt from Grandma Rochelle.

Emily, Abby and I went to a special Stake Fireside
"We are Daughters in His Kingdom".

Abby's class had a Show Off day. They displayed their big projects and sang us some songs about Utah. I hadn't seen Abby's board until today. She did all the work on her own.

Her diorama.

Favorite art project Turkey Vader.

Hayley with her socks and flip flops.

Lindley and Hayley built a bridge in the living room.
