Saturday August 13, 2011

First thing Saturday morning two bull moose came walking through camp.

After breakfast we headed over to the kid games.

After lunch we went to the lake.
This log had many uses.
Abby and Kami floated on it.
They covered it with sand.
They rolled it in and out of the water.
Emily used it as a balance beam.
When we got back to camp Abby found a leach on her.

Here is Steve amazing us with his fire building skills.

Here is the fort the kids made.
I love that they can just entertain themselves with nature.
They made flower wreaths and necklaces for the little girls.
Gathered bouquets for me, Grandma and Debbie.
They are all really good kids.

Friday August 12, 2011

Camping, Camping under the pale moonlight.
Emily and Abby set up their beds in the back of the truck.

They played cards with Gage and Kami (Lindley had to be part of the fun too.)

Hayley snuggled Grandma Rochelle.
Grandma got out her ukulele and we sang around the fire.

Then Grandma and Grandpa took the big kids over to the dance.
They put on quite the show to the song Dynamite.

Thursday August 11, 2011

We finally made it to Heritage Park.
The girls had fun doing pioneer chores and playing pioneer games.
We went to school.
Panned for gold.
Did leather working.
Made whirly gigs.
Made arrowhead necklaces.
Watched a bank robbery.

Went on a pony ride.
Pet a pig and some goats.

Rode on a train.

The little ones were very tired.

For Activity Days Abby and I made some cute shirts with freezer paper stencils.
Sooo much fun and I can see how this could become totally addicting.
So glad I work with such talented ladies in Activity Days.

Tuesday August 9, 2011

Abby's sweet little friend Nyah heard she was sick and picked her up this cute piggy.
It help cheer her up a little bit.

Monday August 8, 2011

Uncle Dusty missed Lindy Lou's birthday party.
So he gave her a late birthday present.
I have made my peace with PlayDoh.
It sure keeps the little one's happy for a long time.

Lindley had me take a picture of each one she created.

Hayley and her Alien.

It even kept Emily entertained for a while.
Poor Abby missed out on some more fun today.

The CARNIVAL is about to begin.
I can't believe this girl is 11!
I must love her alot to make myself this insane.
The planning is always so fun and creative for me.
Creative is messy.
The actual event becomes a little stressful.

Emily ready for the guests to arrive

Steve had so much fun welcoming guests to the Carnival.
Get your tickets here folks.

Emily was our CARICATURE artist.
They were the best stick figures you can find anywhere.

Enjoying the yummy CONCESSIONS.

She has strep so she had to miss out on all the fun.

We went to lunch with her at Red Robins.
Almost all of the grandkids were there.
Tanner and Peyton were in school.
Darn year round school.
Here are the 4 WILD Comanches.

Here's Grandma and Grandpa and the grandkids.
Grandma set her purse down for the picture and left without it.
Luckily someone honest found it and turned it in.

The new Green Line on TRAX opened.
We took the kids for a free ride.
No strollers this time.

Tuesday August 2, 2011

Tonight was the Primary Bike Parade.
The kids love decorating their bikes and riding to the church for ice cream.
Steve put up flags lining the parade route.
The cub scouts led the parade dressed in uniform.
Lindley was the cutest cowgirl in the whole parade.

Abby was weaving in and out of everybody waiting for the parade to start.

Hayley was chillin in the shade with momma.

Emily stayed back with all the girls her age.

Mmmmm. Mint Chocolate Chip.

Next year I need to remember to dress this one in brown from head to toe.

What?
Only one week until Emily's Birthday.
Gotta get moving.

Saturday July 30, 2011

These little ones loved the bunk beds.
They were easy to keep track of for a little while.
Earlier Hayley Jo took a trip down to the bathrooms
by herself and then cried until someone
helped her find her way back.

Here is Lindy Lou on one of  her many trips to the bathrooms.

Grandma Great Hofer with her 2 sisters and cousin.

So many more fun pictures were taken just not with my camera.
